It’s just two weeks since we announced the launch of a brand new qualification in fire doors, and already 50 people are working their way through the series of modules, which after sitting their examination, will result in them achieving a Diploma qualification.

The FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) education programme is a series of online education modules which you can study in your own time and wherever it's most convenient for you. The FDIS Diploma examination is then taken at a local centre.

As a Diploma holder you can proudly demonstrate that your knowledge of fire doors is to a defined industry standard – you are an acknowledged professional in your field.

The Diploma qualification (DipFD) is of great benefit to those wishing to progress to become certificated Fire Door Inspectors, which will be stage two of the scheme. But it also acts as a stand-alone qualification for those individuals and companies who wish to demonstrate their professional knowledge of fire doors and their components, from manufacture through to installation and maintenance.
